IMPRINTING:At the time of birth foals can absorb more information than at any other time. Spend 45 minutes now and save weeks later. Lessons learned at an early age last a lifetime. A Secretariat mare’s foal is used to demonstrate how you can imprint your own foals at birth. Alternate methods for older foals are also covered including how to modify the behavior of an unruly foal that has not been handled by humans. Imprint Training saves time, gentles the foals, prepares them for schooling later, and helps to avoid injury to horses and handlers. ROBERT MILLER, DVM graduated from Colorado State University and has been an equine practitioner for 30 years. During this time his special interest in the horse’s psychological make-up has given Dr. Miller and acute insight into the mind of a horse and how and why it works. From this experience he has developed a technique for modifying behavior.
