Behind the scenes with team O'Connor

Inside Eventing is set up in episodes each about 30 minutes long following the O'Connor event team. It gives a look at one year (2006 I think), but skips the Rolex competition. Instead it focuses on a few 2 and 3 star competitions. It's wasn't a bad series; although there was a lot of duplicate footage and commentary which became irritating at times. It doesn't go into very much depth about preparation for the events, and was really more just pro team O'Connor. For those wanting more details or training tips this isn't for them. It was well shot and the sound and picture quality were high, but I had better expectations that this DVD didn't deliver.

Something Missing

Played like an infomercial with cheesy music, commercial breaks and narration + duplicate footage. Felt like the more compelling stories about the students were glossed over with competition footage and quickly summed up results. At one point one of the students is stunned to learn that spending time with a horse renders trust - that speaks volumes about the values and priorities of some of these people. Much to learn from others doing it better, I think.
