Too clinical not practical

02/05/2009

It was an interesting video, but it was much more clinical, than practical. I was looking for something more for the horse owner to help locate where the lameness is occurring and how to prevent or remedy the problem, once it has presented itself. I did learn how the muscles and tendons worked and I do think that's important. I just wanted more on the living equine, which I thought could have been covered as well.

If you really want to understand leg function and lameness, this is worth it! Includes demo on skeleton, live horse, and dissected leg.

I picked this video to show to my 4H horse club. I am glad I checked it out first. Lots of great info and very interesting, but the presenter uses a fresh cadaver leg to illustrate the anatomy. A bit much for several 10 year old girls. I do highly recommend it for adults though.
