From the first time, starting with just a few of them, the exercises in this DVD made a subtle difference in my riding that was very noticeable to my horses. This is one to watch with the pause button handy, as it's easiest to try the groundwork exercises as they are demonstrated. While the author's patent stool is demonstrated and promoted, he also shows alternative exercises which require nothing but a soft piece of floor. Production values are excellent. Sound is overdubbed in English, but clear and easy to understand. Just wish the books listed at the end were also in English.

The DVD follows 2 riders going through their paces on horseback, and then being adjusted off the horse by Eckart Meyners and told to ride again. The exercises used follow his 6 point program. However very little detail is given on how to preform each exercise, and no explanation or reasoning is given for why the exercise works (or doesn't). Overall I found the information would have been more helpful as a book with a companion DVD to simply demonstrate what had been written down. A book is advertised at the end so there is one available if you are sufficiently interested in learning about Meyners methods. Sound and picture quality were reasonable, but this was not a DVD I would recommend watching.

The title of this video is somewhat misleading. I assumed that it would deal with understanding your horses movement, in order to respond properly. It was however, more of a video dealing with exercises to make the rider more supple to ride, therefore helping the horse to become more relaxed. I would recommend this video just because the information is excellent & very applicable.

Very interesting to understand how the human body needs to release tension. I like this disc very much. Motivated me to do more exercise to increase my balance in the saddle
