Julie gives you the basics, all very important stuff, some redundance for experienced riders. She is kind and thoughful in her teaching methods and I would highly recommend her for anyone in their first 5 years of horse ownership. I have been riding for 30 + years and still picked up a few good tidbits.

Good information but not fully engaging

Julie Goodnight presents her excellent clinic tips with the help of 2 demonstration riders - one english and one western. Some viewers, however, may get tired of being "talked at" before the show is over. Well worth watching a first time - additional viewings for fans.

Great basics everyone should know

I thought this was a wonderful DVD, full of a lot of good pointers. Julie gives many easy, common sense solutions to common riding problems. I am so glad that I rented this DVD and have seen an improvement in my own riding since viewing.

I enjoyed watching this one with my daughters. Who I'm always reminding "heels down". They are now practicing Julie's stirrup standing exercise while riding. I'm looking forward to the rest of her series.

I liked this dvd alot! As I went riding this week I was very much aware of keeping a "open Pelvis" as Julie emphasized on the dvd and proper balance. I could feel the difference when my balance was not correct.
